Review: Revlon ColorStay Mineral Lip Glaze

I'm back with another review this time a lip product! I love lip gloss always have always will. Over the years I have experiment with colors, shimmers, and long lasting finishes. When I first saw the product on the shelf I was very excited in the range of colors offered. I like lip gloss best when it has a light shimmer but no glitter chunks. This lip gloss has a light shimmer and doesn't appear to be glittery. This Mineral Glaze is not sticky like other lip gloss can be. It is however heavy. I would say this is more like a "liquid lipstick" than a lip gloss. The color pay off is definitely there. Although at times this lip glass can be drying due to how long the lip gloss lasts but if I find if you use a chapstick before you apply the lip gloss there is less of a drying effect. This lip gloss doesnt last all day but it does last longer than most lip gloss does.
My favorite color is Timeless Nude ( pictured above). I love nude lips but that concealer color/look on me and my skin tone is not pretty. I love to pair a nude lipstick with this gloss to add a hint of pinkish color which looks fabulous! Even my friends tried this look out and loved it! The nude lipstick that I pair it with is also another fabulous product by Revlon called Nude Attitude.

Best of the Best: Mascara

Hello Gorgeous!! I am back with another post of the Best of the Best Series!!! Now I know you are expecting me to write about CoverGirl mascara NO!! I honestly hate all of their mascaras. My favorite mascara for over 2 years now has been Almay intense-i-color.
The mascara is available in many colors (green, purple, blue, black, black with different color shimmer). I used to use the different colored ones they have the same formula as the black mascara and do work very well. If you are looking for a good colored mascara with color pay off that isn't overbearing.
I use the black mascara called Black Noir. This leaves your eye lashes full and definitely black. You can easily take this mascara off with eye make-up remover and it does not flake off during the day!
Hope you girls try this out!

Best of the Best: Foundation

I am starting a new series called the best of the best. I will try to post up a couple times a week with a new best of the best product. Please let me know if there is anything that you want reviewed!!Here we have it the best of the best foundation!!! Revlon ColorStay. Too describe this foundation I would simply say fabulous!! This runs around $9-$13 at the drugstores ( Walgreens, Target, Walmart). I know that this price is a little expensive for a "drugstore" foundation but its totally worth it trust me =]. Revlon always has created amazing products but this is by far the best. There are like a bajillion colors to choose from and this also comes in combination/oily and normal skin. I usually have problems with liquid foundation breaking my skin out and let me tell you that this foundation did not make that happen. Super Exciting. Now this foundation is a little bit on the heavier/full coverage side but does last a LONG time and when I mean LONG I mean allll day. Revlon also has a whole line of ColorStay products for eyes and lips too!! I recommend anything from this line.
Enjoy! =]

September Favorites

Sorry, no pictures this week my camera got lost this weekend at UW-EC homecoming parties.
=[

Velcro rollers- love this because it makes your hair look like a pageant winner. creates not so tight curling iron looks with LOTS of volume.
Homemade Soap- love this because makes your skin uber soft and scent lasts forever current scent cranberry cocktail, can you say success?
Rimmel Concealer Stick in Light- love this because its a thicker concealer that I can just spread under my eyes and on trouble spots and set with powder for those quick morning looks
Maybelline Mineral Powder Foundation- love this because it works great with concealer to set the look and leaves you flawless for hours!! The container is small enough to carry in your purse for touch-ups if necessary.
Oil of Olay Touch of Sun lotion + gradual tanner- love this because I have used it for over 2 years, yeah, 2 years! I have never turned orange and here in Wisconsin theres not that much sun so I use this for an all year glow. Smells amazing not like Jergens Natural Glow gross. I even put it on after the shower every morning and never notice any self tanner smell, its amazing girls, amazing.
Sinful Colors Nail Polish ( mint apple!!!!)- love this because these nail polishes are $1.99 @ Walgreen's, super cheap, lost forever, and millions of shades.
Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner- love this because it leaves my hair amazingly soft (check my other blog post about this amazing stuff) again super cheap and amazing.

What are your favorites?

Dislike: MAC Mineralize SkinFinish

 Mineralize Skinfinish
This picture isnt the exact one that I have but its similar.
I got this product at a cosmetic outlet for limited addition products. I was super excited when I get this product for $17 (usually $28). I liked that it was tan with a lighter shimmer. Now I love most MAC product that I have but I am really disappointed. I heard amazing things about this product. For me this was WAYYY to shimmery to use all over my face so I tried it as a blush for more a natural look still to much glitter. So then I just used the tan half that did not have the lighter pink shimmery shade. Since the product is divided into a tan shade and the pink glittery side it was rather easy to use one or the other. I did try the tan side for an all over powder but the coverage was just too light. I tried the shimmery pink side as an eyeshadow or highlight and I just didnt like it. I have plans to give this product away. I honestly have had this for months and maybe used it like 5 times. Just not that great. I might try MACs mineralize skinfinish natural which is more of a pressed powder in flesh tones. Who knows? What do you guys think about this product or products like this?

Review: Coastal Scents 88 Metal Mania Palette

I had heard a million good things about this company and their products. So after watching and reading many reviews I decided to check them out for myself. I liked this palette best because it contains less of the crazy rainbow colors, sorry girls but I dont do rainbow eye shadow. =]
I was so excited to get my palette in the mail ( shipped within a week) Also, this palette is an amazing deal coming in just shy of $25; now some of you may be thinking thats alot of money but when you really think about it if you buy just 1 eyeshadow at the drugstore it can be anywhere from $2 to $10. So getting 88 shadows for $25 is an amazing deal if you ask me!! The eyeshadows are small about the size of a dime but there are just so many to choose from. The shadows are very pigmented and are the same color as they appear. I use an eyeshadow primer/base everytime I wear eyeshadow and with that these shadows do last all day. They blend incridibly well.
I am into the earthy toned shadows and cool colors, this is the perfect palette for that with greens, browns, darker greys, purples, oranges, gold, pinks and mauves. Now there are some brigher shadows but if you use them with a light hand they are wearable.
I have owned this palette for over 3 months and I am very satisfied. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to start makeup or already has tons of makeup but wants something to take along with them on vacations. I love that I am able to take this palette in my suitcase and I have all the colors I need to make smokey or neutral eye looks.
If you have tried this leave a comment below and let me know that you think!!!

Review: Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner

Aussie Moist 3-Minute Miracle Deeeeep Reconstructor

Alright, So I am back reviewing another product I think is fabulous. Seriously everyone needs to deep condition your hair at least one time a week so I went to the drugstore to check out what kind of things they had available.
Normally I probably wouldn't try this brand "aussie" but hey, it was under 4 dollars and who cannot resist that!!! I used it the next day in the shower. I love the smell; I am not sure how to really describe the smell but tropical is all I can say. This left my hair feeling amazingly soft. I even recommended to a friend the next day.
Since I have been through 1 whole bottle and I am half way through my second. Some days I just shampoo my hair in the shower and then towel dry my hair and throw a handful of this in and leave it an hour or two while I clean or do laundry. Makes my hair even MORE amazing. Try this puppy out

Review: L'oreal Everstrong Sulfate Free Shampoo/Conditioner

My first thoughts:
-gets out hairspray amazingly
-smells "earthy"
-conditioner doesn't leave your hair super silky when you rinse it out

After Using for 2 wks:
-got used to the smell
-made my hair shiny and smoothe
-might try another kind ( maybe hydrate?)

Have you ever tried this? Let me know what you think
