Top 20 Makeup Products Under $20 Dollars

Hey loves! I saw this video go up on Nicole Guerriero's channel the other week and I knew I had to do my top 20 makeup products as well. These are items that are perfect for when you are trying to build your collection or on a budget. I am a firm believer that they are good drugstore/inexpensive products available-now not all of these products are drugstore some are high-end but still under $20. I have named the products in no particular order:

1.       NYX Butter Gloss- These are the creamiest and most pigmented glosses around! I usually find mine at Target or Ulta for around $5. The color range is amazing from nude-pink-deep reds. If you are looking for a no fuss gloss that isn’t sticky then these are the glosses for you. My personal favorite is Crème Brulee which is a great nude.

2.       Real Techniques Brushes- Best drugstore brushes around. These are available at Ulta prices from $5.99+. These brushes are created by YouTube guru Samantha Chapman.  You can also buy these brushes in Faces or Eye sets. The brushes do not shed and are super soft. I also am a HUGE fan of their Makeup Sponge which is comparable to the beauty blender for ¼ of the price.

3.       Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser- My go to under eye concealer. I use shade light to highlight my under eye area. This is a light weight formula that gives great coverage without creasing. Available at most drugstores for around $7.

4.       L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara- By far my all-time favorite mascara of life. I have tried a million high end and drugstore mascaras and to me this is the blackest, most thickening and lengthening mascara available. The key to this product is to buy the product and then open the tube and let sit for 2 weeks so the formula dries out a bit.  I never have transfer or flaking. Available at most drugstores or Ulta for $7.

5.       MAC Prolong Wear Concealer- Now this is a high-end concealer that runs around $18 for a bottle.  This concealer gives maximum coverage and is great to use with a facial moisturizer to create a light weight daily foundation. I also use this when I want to look super flawless under my eyes and to conceal redness. The only flaw is that this has a pump that always pumps out way more than is needed. If you are looking to splurge on a high-end concealer I would try this out.

6.       Covergirl Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation and Primer- If you have oily skin or combination skin this foundation will last through a whole work day and then some. I apply a primer underneath only because I am super oily. I wear shade Buff Beige. I do notice some oxidation with the product so I would advise getting a shade lighter. If you want a full coverage foundation than this product is for you.

7.       Revlon Color Stay Foundation- This is another Holy Grail foundation I have fallen in love with and repurchased several times. This foundation has a wide shade selection as well as 2 formulas available for oily combination skin and dry skin. I wear shade 180 Sand Beige. This foundation is very long wearing and full coverage. Available at drugstores and Ulta for $9.

8.       Rimmel Exaggerate Full Color Lip Liners- I don’t wear lip liners a whole lot but I do feel this is one product that doesn’t need to be purchased high-end always. I like this formula because they apply smoothly and come in a pencil form that is able to just roll up instead of sharpen-this is great for travel or your purse. My favorite color is a deep red in Ravish. These are available at drugstores or Ulta for around $4.

9.       Maybelline Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner- I find myself going back to this eyeliner continuously not only is this inexpensive but the color is truly black. I do not have issues with this liner transferring onto other places or smudging off.  I only have to repurchase this twice a year obviously does not dry out very fast. This is a felt tip liner and great for creating winged liner. Available at most drugstores or Ulta for around $6.

10.   Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 hr Eye shadows- These are amazing eye shadow bases or they can even be worn alone without creasing. Amazingly creamy formula that blends easily and dries without tackiness. I love these for long wearing looks or if you want something extra. My favorite colors are bad to the bronze and tough as taupe. Available at drugstores and Ulta for $6.

11.    Urban Decay De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray Travel Size- Now I know that the full-size of this product is actually $30 but the travel size is only $14 and works great for your purse or travel. This has totally transformed the longevity of my makeup and keeps my oil under control for easily 6 hours. Great for a touch-up midday or right after application. Available at Ulta or Sephora.

12.   L’Oreal Magic Soufflé Blush- This is a cream blush that is very light weight whipped formula that blends well and dries to a powder finish. You do not have to add a powder blush on top of this product but I usually do just because I have oily skin. My favorite color is angelic which is a light peach. I apply with an elf stippling brush (#16) over my foundation and a little goes along way with these cream blushes. Available at drugstores or Ulta $8.

13.   Sonia Kashuk Undetectable Crème Cream Bronzer- This is a drugstore dupe for the Chanel an de soleil cream bronzer. You can find this only at Target stores or online for around $13.  If you are like me and love wearing a matte bronzer in the summer than this is for you. There are a few shades to choose from and you only need a little bit of product. I usually use this for my contour in the summer months.

14.    L’Oreal Colour Riche La Laque and La Matte Lip Stick- If you want a no fuss no muss lip stick these are amazing. I like the matte and laque formulas both are long wearing and the color pigmentation is amazing. They are in a roll up pen which makes on the go application super easy. Available at drugstores and Ulta for around $7.

15.   NYX Powder Blush- These blushes are highly pigmented and come in a great range of colors. They are long lasting and you barely need to dip your brush in some colors. My personal favorites are cinnamon (bright orange) and terracotta (dusty peach). Available at Target stores and Ulta around $6.

16.   E.L.F. Cosmetics Brushes- This is another affordable brand of brushes range between $1-$6. Not all of the brushes are great but there are a lot that are. My favorites include small stipple brush, blush brush, and powder brush (like a flat top kabuki). Available online or at Target Stores.

17.   Revlon Brow Fantasy Brow Pencil- This was a Holy Grail product of mine for years before I started using the Anastasia DipBrow Pomade (#18). I still keep this pencil in my purse for touch-ups but I do not use to fill in my brows daily. If you are looking for a good brow pencil from the drugstore I would suggest this product. Not only does this have a pencil end it also has a colored brow gel. Available at Ulta and most drugstores for $7.

18.   Anastasia DipBrow Pomade- My newest favorite brow product. I use an elf angled brush (#16) to apply. This comes in a few shades and allows you to apply a lot or a little. This is a waterproof formula that allows your brows to stay all day without any smudging. Available at Ulta or Sephora for $18. I use shade chocolate.

19.   Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil- Now this product hits the $20 mark but you can also get smaller pencils in sets for around the same price throughout the year. I have not found a better liner that doesn’t smudge or run in my water line. I haven’t tried several drugstore options but all do not stay put as well as this pencil. I wish they were available in a roll-up form. Available at Ulta or Sephora.

20.   Wet N Wild Single Shadows and Trios- These eye shadows are quite the gem of the drugstore. They apply so creamy without a lot of fallout and the pigmentation is better than any other drugstore shadow. Usually run around$2-$4 for singles and trios at Wal-Mart.

Whew! Now those are my favorite 20 makeup products under $20! Do you have any that are similar in your collection? The only thing that I haven’t found is a great powder for fewer than 20 dollars. I use the MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural in Medium currently which is around $30. Let me know if you have any suggestions for a drugstore powder.
