BLOGcember! Last Day

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 31!!! I can't believe I made it through my first blog-a-thon. I did miss a few days here and there but I got up all 30 reviews as I had planned. Today I am not going to be reviewing anything but I just wanted to give a Thank You to all of my followers and viewers.
This year I not only expanded my blog to create a YouTube channel but I became friends with a lot of subscribers and I am so thankful for that. Most people don't understand how hard it is to put yourself out in the world writing blogs or making videos. We live in a harsh world where we are constantly criticized for our decisions whether right or wrong.
I had been writing my blog for 4 years before I finally decided to share it with the world. My family didn't even know I wrote this but now I have never felt more embraced for sharing my passion with you guys.
This next year I am hoping to keep growing my channel and blog to reach more people than I did this year. I am hoping to give back and have giveaways for you guys my supporters.
I am exploring options for further schooling and I couldn't be in more of a better place in life. If you are afraid my advice would be to step out in the world it has been one of the best things I could of done in my life.

Cheers to 2015!

Love,
Chelsea

BLOGcember Review: L'Oreal Youth Code Texture Perfector

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 30! I can't believe we only have one day left of BLOGcember! Today I am going to be reviewing another holy grail product in my collection. I use L'Oreal Youth Code Texture Perfector daily and my skin has never been better.

Where can I purchase?
This is available at Ulta or other drugstores (Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Target)

How much does this cost?
Retails for $24.99-- I have seen coupons for a few dollars off as well.

What is does this do?
This is a facial product that is supposed to tighten pores, diminish lines, and reveal petal soft skin.

Application?
I apply this morning and night after toning my skin and before my moisturizer.

Results?
I am on my third bottle of this serum and I love how soft my skin feels. I have stopped using for a few weeks and my skin did not feel soft or appear as smooth. I would suggest this for people who are looking to get into a skincare routine but do not want to spend a fortune for nice products.

Other products?
L'Oreal also makes a day/night cream to go along with this product. I have not tried that but I am thinking about purchasing to use in conjunction with this product.

I love this product. I noticed within a few days how soft and subtle my skin felt and looked. If you are looking to start a skincare routine I would suggest checking this out. If you are looking for something for mature skin I would suggest not using this product because this is meant for skin that younger and doesn't have a lot of pre-existing wrinkles.

BLOGcember Review: Real Techniques Contour Brush

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 29! I am all caught up on my blogs that I was behind on! We are going to finish strong! I am almost sad for these blogs to end I have so many more products to review in my makeup obsessed collection. Today I am reviewing one of my favorite brushes of all time Real Techniques Contour Brush.

Where can I purchase?
In Ulta Stores or some Targets carry the Real Techniques Line

How much is this brush?
This brush is only available in a face kit which retails for $15 but honestly I love all of the brushes in the kit.

Application?
I use this just as the name says to contour my face. I just apply bronzer to my contour my cheeks, temples, and even my nose. The size of the brush is just perfect to fit in the hollows of the cheeks to create the prefect definition.

Long-Lasting?
I purchased my face kit several years ago I believe like 2011 and I have not had any of the brushes shed hair or fall apart. I do wash my brushes on the regular and suggest this if you want them to last longer and have a better application of product.

Dupes?
I have not found any other brushes that are this perfect for contouring in several areas quite like this brush does.

I honestly would recommend all  of the Real Technique Brushes to anyone who is looking to step up there brushes but still not spend a fortune for quality. These brushes are all amazing.

Hopefully you are enjoying the reviews in BLOGcember. Let me know what you want to review on my social media sites. Use the hashtag #BLOGcember or #wiscobeauty so I can see your posts!

BLOGcember Review: Equate Night-Time Soothing Makeup Remover Towelettes

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 28! I am reviewing another favorite product of mine the Equate Night-Time Soothing Makeup Remover Towelettes.

Where can I purchase?
Available only at Wal-Mart Stores.

How much does this cost?
Retails for $3.48 for 40 wipes.

Scent?
These wipes due have a slight lavender scent but these are made for sensitive skin.

Packaging?
I love the packaging on these towelettes unlike other wipes these have a plastic locking lid that keeps the towelettes moist until they are all gone.

Makeup Removing?
I think these wipes are amazing at removing makeup even waterproof mascara.

Application?
I like to use these before I wash my face to remove majority of my makeup before I cleanse. I also like to use these after I shower if I have left over makeup residue. If I am swatching products these are great for taking off the swatches without having to wash my hand or arm. You can also use these wipes as a spot cleaner for your makeup brushes between washes.
Negatives?
I don't have any negatives to say about these wipes. They are honestly amazing.

Dupes?
I would not suggest or recommend any other wipes from the drugstore besides these. Equate does make another makeup remover towelette in a blue packaging which is amazing as well.

Check these out! If you are in need of a new makeup removing wipe then these are totally for you. Let me know what your favorite make-up removing products are below!

BLOGcember Review: Batiste Dry Shampoo

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 27! I hope everyone is having an amazing week thus far and are getting ready for New Years! Today I am going to be reviewing another holy grail product in my collection Batiste Dry Shampoo.

Where can you purchase?
Available at most drugstores, Ulta, or TJ Maxx

How much is this dry shampoo?
At the drugstore/Ulta usually around $7 but at TJ Maxx they are $5.99.

Different Scents and Shades?
Batiste had three colored dry shampoos (pictured above) and then around 10 other scents.

Formula?
Batiste is one of the best dry shampoos around--the spray is amazing and doesn't spray out in a weird way or leave too much product in any one particular spot.

Favorite?
My favorite is the Deep and Dark Brown or Medium and Brunette. I liked the colored options because my hair is almost black so I don't end up with a white cast at the roots. I have used the non-colored options and love them just as much!

Application?
I love to use this product on second day hair. I spray the product a few inches away from my scalp and then let sit for a few minutes before massing into the roots. If you want extra volume I would suggest blow drying your hair quickly.

Dupes?
I have used highend and drugstore options and this is by far my favorite dry shampoo out there!

I would suggest picking this product up at TJ Maxx because the price is less and is the exact same product. If you are in need of a dry shampoo or something to help add texture or volume to your roots try this out!

BLOGcember Review: BH Cosmetics Lip Liners

Hey Loves! BLOGcemember Review Day 26! Today I am going to be reviewing a product that I have had for several years lip liners by BH Cosmetics. If you are not familiar with BH Cosmetics it is an online drugstore makeup company that is very affordable.

Where to buy these lip liners?
BH Cosmetics online store or Hautelook

How much are these liners?
Retail for $5.95 but are often on sale for $2.95.

Shades Available?
BH website had 10 shades available. My favorite colors are Nude and Earth.

Formula?
I have had a few of these pencils throughout the years and mostly stuck with nude colors. I think the formula is a little dry when you apply and pencils sticks when you try to apply it along the lip line.

Pigmentation?
These pencils are highly pigmented and are true to the color they appear in the pencil.

Negatives?
Just that the pencil drags across the lip instead of glide smoothly. I also prefer liners that do not require a sharpener.

Dupes?
I would suggest two lip liners from the drugstore that I currently love. Rimmel and Covergirl both make amazing liners. The Rimmel liners are not a pencil and do not require a sharpener which is great for on the go or in your makeup bag.

I think if you find an amazing deal on these liners you could pick some up but otherwise I would just check out some other drugstore liners first. BH Cosmetics is often on Hautelook at a good percentage off so make sure you use my link below to join Hautelook and save lots of money shopping online.

BLOGcember Review: Johnson's Baby Shampoo

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 25! Today I am going to be doing a smaller review on Johnson's Baby Shampoo which I actually do not love. I purchased this product to use to wash my makeup brushes because I heard a lot of people had used it for that purpose and loved it.

Where can you purchase?
Available at all drugstores or baby stores.

How much does this cost?
Usually around $3-$5.

Purpose?
This is supposed to be for washing babies hair and be extra gentle. So you would think it would be amazing for washing your makeup brushes without ruining them.

How do you use it?
I just add some into a plastic container and add a little olive oil when I wash my makeup brushes to remove all of the left over product.

Negatives?
I don't love how this performs. I feel like I have to wash the brushes over and over before all of the product is actually removed.

I would suggest using a moisturizing dish soap or shampoo to wash your makeup brushes for better results.

BLOGcember Review: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 24! I hope everyone had a great Christmas (because I am late on posting this) I had a great holiday season. I was home for the holidays and got to spend time with friends and family. I even had time to squeeze in a hair appointment. Today I am going to be reviewing one of my favorite eye liner pencils.

Where can I purchase?
Available on Urban Decays website, Sephora, or Ulta.

How much does this product cost?
Retails for $20 but you can always find these pencils in gift sets.

Shades?
Urban Decays website has 40 shades listed some of my favorites include Smog, Zero, and Perversion.

Lasting Power?
This liner is supposed to last all day hence the 24/7 name. I do think the liner lasts several hours and doesn't smudge  underneath my eyes. I do wear this liner in my water line and get probably 5-8 hours of wear depending on the weather and how much my eyes water.

Dupes?
I don't have any drugstore liners that I absolutely love more. I wear the Urban Decay liner daily and I haven't switched for a long time.

I would suggest this liner if you are looking for a long wearing eye liner pencil for the water line that doesn't smudge or move throughout the day. I also wear this as my top liner occasionally and don't notice any transferring. I honestly think these are worth the investment because I only buy one a year!

BLOGcember Review: e.l.f. Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 23! Ahh I can't believe it is almost Christmas and BLOGcember only has 8 days left! What am I going to do with all this extra free time I will have? Today I am review a long time favorite of mine available at the drugstore!

Where can I purhcase?
Available online @ eyeslipsface.com or Target Stores

How much is this product?
Only $3!!

Packaging?
This comes in a very sturdy plastic package which has a huge mirror!

Shades?
This Contour Kit is now available in three shades and my favorite is St. Lucia.

Pigmentation?
The pigmentation on this is almost too good for drugstore! This is definitely a less is more product in life. I would just suggest applying lightly because you can always add more but you can't take it away!

Application?
I use a blush brush from e.l.f. to apply the blush and a contour brush from Real Techniques to apply the bronzer as a contour.

Negatives?
I wish in the St. Lucia Bronzer there was a little less shimmer and the blush was slightly more pigmented otherwise so amazing!

Dupes?
This is almost an exact dupe for NARS blush in Orgasm and bronzer in Laguna but this Contour kit is sooo much less expensive.

If you are just starting your makeup kit or need something travel friendly then this product is for you! I love throwing this in my travel makeup bag because the blush shade is perfect to match almost every look and the bronzer is perfect to warm up the skin on all occasions.

BLOGcember Review: Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick in N9

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 22! Today I am reviewing the Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick in N9 which is part of Sephora's Birthday Gift for 2014. I already have a review up on the Mascara featured in this gift as well so don't forget to check that out as well.

Where can I purchase and price?
Available at Sephora for $20

Formula?
This lipstick is supposed to be a thin formula with a shiny finish. Also, is supposed to moisturize lips for eight hours after application which I do not think stands true.

Other Shades?
Sephora's website has 52 colors available.

Application?
I think this lipstick glides on very creamy and easily. This does not tug at the lips while applying.

Scent?
I have heard a lot of beauty guru's rave about these lipsticks but I think the scent is similar to L'Oreal lipsticks that has a chemically scent that a lot of people dislike.

Lasting Power?
I don't find that this lipstick lasts longer than any other lipstick I own. I actually think it wears off faster because the formula is more slippery than matte.

Dupes?
I think there are a lot of better drugstore alternatives which are cheaper. If you are looking for more of a shiny finish I would suggest Revlon Lip Butters or if you want matte I would suggest Maybelline Creamy Matte lipsticks.

Overall, I wasn't overly impressed about this lipstick. I had heard so much hype about these lipsticks on YouTube but I didn't think that the color lasted long or was overly moisturizing. I was honestly disappointed. I do think the color is universal for all skin tones. I wouldn't waste my money purchasing a full-size of this product.

BLOGcember Review: Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 21! I am so behind :( I am so sorry for being a few days late. I am going to post 2 more BLOGcember posts after this one! Today I am going to be reviewing one of Sephora's Birthday Gifts for 2014- Make Up Forever Smoky Extravagant Mascara. I am reviewing the lipstick in the next post so check that out as well!

Where can I purhcase and price?
The full-size is available at Sephora for $24 or travel size for $12.

Formula?
This is supposed to be a new wax based formula for 4D effect in one coat. I find the formula to be a little wet-- I normally prefer a little bit thicker of a formula.

Brush?
As you can see the brush is a cone shape which I find hard to use on my dominant side eye because I have to flip the brush to use it correctly. I don't like how I can not get into the base of the lashes really with this shape of brush. I do however like how the brush is made of hair-like bristles and not plastic or rubber bristles.

Volume or Length?
This formula and brush is supposed to give amazing volume and separate the lashes in one coat. I find that instead of volume I get separated lashes that are very thin and have more length than volume.

Application?
I tried to apply this several ways. I did as instructed and just applied one coat and I felt like I was hardly wearing any mascara. I like to have thick looking lashes but not clumpy. I let the first layer dry a little and tried to add more coats but my lashes were so hard that I couldn't really add any extra to get volume. I also tried to pair with other mascaras and honestly I could not make this work.

Dupes?
I wouldn't suggest this mascara (Make Up For Ever) for volume if you are looking for volume from the drugstore I would suggest L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black or high end Tarte's Better Than Sex Mascara.

Overall, I would pass on this mascara if I had to purchase myself. I think getting samples is very nice so you can try them out and see if they are worth the investment. I am going to let this mascara dry for a few days and test it again to see if the formula thickens up a bit.

BLOGcember Review: Seche Vite Top Coat

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 20! We only have 11 more days to go! We can do this! I need to redo my nails so I figured I would talk about one of my favorite top coats. I used to think that top coats were junk and didn't actually help your nail polish last longer and man I was wrong! I had heard so much about this Seche Vite Top Coat before I finally decided to purchase.

Where can I purchase?
I usually get mine at Sally's Beauty Supply but I have recently seen at Wal-Mart.

How much is this top coat?
Retails for around $7.

How do you apply?
I like to apply 2-3 coats of regular polish and let that dry for a few minutes and then apply a thick layer of Seche Vite over top.

Lasting Power?
This honestly keeps the majority of my nail polish on chip free for at least a week. I mean I do get small chips on the edges from typing etc but my nails look great for a week!!

Negatives?
The only bad thing about this product is that I find the polish starts to get thick when I am only half through the bottle so I end up wasting a lot of product.

Dupes?
I have tried a top coat from Essie I think it is called Out the Door which is supposed to dry your polish super fast but I didn't think that it helped my nail polish stay on any longer than not wearing a top coat.

I would suggest grabbing this product if you are looking for a great top coat to make your nail polish last longer!

BLOGcember Review: Million Dollar Tan Body Buffer

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 18! As I was in the shower this morning thinking about what I wanted to review it hit me! Million Dollar Tan Body Buffer which is a product I don't actually love. I purchased mine in a kit with the Million Dollar Self-Tanner in the Lotion and Spray. I actually had high hopes for this product after hearing a million good things on YouTube from many beauty gurus.

Where can I purchase?
This is available on the Million Dollar Tan website and occasionally on Hautelook.

How much is this product?
The full-size is 8 fl ounces and costs $20.

How do you use this?
This product is meant to be a gentle exfoliating body scrub that you use in the shower all over your body before applying self-tanner to help get rid of dead skin and left over self-tanner.

Scent?
This body buffer smells like straight up peppermint candy canes! I actually quite like the scent because it smells fresh and doesn't linger on the skin for long.

Exfoliating Power?
This is where I hate this product-- I totally understand that is is meant to be a gentle exfoliating body buffer but literally the exfoliating beads are horrible. Mostly you are getting a peppermint body wash with a few beads. You would be better off with a wash cloth than this crappy stuff.

Dupes?
There are so many better body exfoliating products out there-- Caress Body Washes have exfoliating beads and I like to use the St.Ives Apricot Scrub all over my body. I would just not recommend this product if you are purchasing it.

I am going to finish this product up but I really am disappointed in the quality of it. Do you have any body buffers that you enjoy to use?

BLOGcember Review: Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 17! Today I am reviewing Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray! Shout out to Markie for requesting this-- we are both avid lovers of this spray! Find her on Instagram @MarkieJo26.

Where can you purchase?
I usually get mine at Ulta only because I have one near me but otherwise online at Urban Decays Website and most Sephora's.

How much is this product?
The full-size is $30 and travel sizes are around $10. The full-size usually lasts me a few months I would say 3-4 months. I have seen gift sets that include a full-size and travel for around $34 so I usually pick them up when I see them at the store.

How do you apply?
I like to spray 3-4 sprays onto my face after I have applied my foundation, powder, blush, ad bronzer to set my makeup for the day. Some people also like to spritz on before applying foundation for extra de-slicking. I will sometimes spray on half-way through the day if I know I am going to be wearing my makeup for an extended period of time.

Scent?
I don't think this has a scent that is overly noticeable.

Purpose?
This specific setting spray is designed for us oily girls to help keep oil at bay throughout the day. Urban Decay also makes other settings sprays that are geared toward more normal/combo/dry skin and those are excellent as well. I think this spray not only keeps my oil under control but also makes my foundation last long without breakdown.

Negatives?
The only bad thing isn't about the product itself it is the packing that stinks. The bottle had this smooth white finish that attracts dirty and when working with makeup there are always excess powders around so the outside of the bottle doesn't stay white for very long!

Dupes?
I have heard that the new L'Oreal makeup setting sprays are almost identical and around half the price. I have been searing for that for awhile now and have been unsuccessful.

I use this daily but you don't have too if you aren't wearing makeup. I know on the days that I skip or forget to apply I notice my makeup melting and shine occurring. The mist is a little scary at first but honestly isn't that bad, you'll get used to it I promise!

BLOGcember Review: Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl

Hey Loves! BLOGcemember Day 16! I haven't done that many reviews for products that I don't really care for so today I am bringing you one! I purchased the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl in the black color awhile back because everyone was comparing them to Urban Decay's 24/7 Liners.

Where can I purchase this liner?
Available at most drugstores Target, Walmart, Shopko, etc

How much can I purchase the liner for?
Usually retails around $5-$7.

Pigmentation?
I love how pigmented this liner is. I have the black color and I think the color is truly black and not a grey color at all.

Lasting Power?
This is the part that I hate. The name says waterproof but this is far from waterproof. I always am getting smudges under my eye and on my brow bone from product transfer. I have set the liner with a powder and used eye shadow primer but nothing seems to help.

Dupes?
I mostly use my Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Zero (black) if I want to put black in my tight or water line but those pencils are expensive at $19 a piece. If you want to splurge I would suggest trying the Urban Decay Liners.

I am just overal not impressed with the liner and I cannot handle the smudging under my eye area. This might make for a great eyeshadow base but I would be leary to do that because even after being set with a powder it still transfers. Might work if you don't have oily skin and watery eyes..maybe?

BLOGcember Review: Big Sexy Hair Spray & Play Harder Hair Spray

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 15!! We have made it halfway through the month! How exciting is that. I am loving the posts and interactions with you guys! Keep it up! Today I am reviewing one of my favorite hairsprays of all time. My best friend and hairstylist always used this hairspray on herself and swore it was the best. I didn't believe here until I finally tried it and now I don't want anything else.

Where can I purchase this hairspray?
This is a salon brand but is available at TJ Maxx, Walgreens, WalMart, and Ulta.

How much is the hair spray?
This usually retails from $16-$25 depending on where you purchase.

Scent?
I think this hairspray just has a fresh scent that isn't overpowering.

Holding Power?
I think this holds your hair perfectly in place but isn't overly crunch at all. I don't think it dries and flakes off either.

Negatives?
The only thing that I notice with this hairspray more than other is that the nozzle gets clogged up faster and I am constantly peeling off dried spray so I can get a good spray out. Not really a big deal if you remember to clean it off but if you don't you might end up wasting a lot of product.

Dupes?
I don't think there are any drugstore dupes for this product that has the same hold without the stiffness.

I usually pick up this hairspray at TJ Maxx when I see it there but be careful because the packaging looks like their dry shampoo as well. I have used several hairsprays over the hears and this is by far my favorite. If you are feeling lack lusture over your hairspray try this baby out!
