BLOGcember Review: Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 14!! Today I am going to review Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum for you guys! I use heat on my hair daily like 95% of the time. I do wash every other day but I still blow dry or use a heat tool daily. I have been using this product on and off for 5 years and I always have healthier hair when I am using this hair serum.

Where can I purchase this product?
Most salons carry this product but I have seen it at Walgreens before. Also, you can be most highend hair products at Ulta as well.

How much is this product?
There are several product sizes available 0.85 ounces, 5.1 ounces, and 8.5 ounces. The prices vary from $10-$25 depending on the size

What does it do?
This hair serum is supposed to help smooth, condition, and seal the end of the hair. I also think this adds shine and lessens my blow dry time.

How do you apply this?
I apply 2 pumps on the middle to ends of my hair when it is damp only on the days when I wash my hair. I usually let the product sit on my hair for 10 minutes before I blow dry if I am blowing my hair that day.

Scent?
I think this hair serum smells kind of like a refreshing watermelon or fruity scent. I don't think the scent is overpowering but just enough to notice.

Negatives?
This isn't specific to this hair serum but all hair serums. You need to be careful when applying and make sure to get the product from your ears down and stay away from the roots. If you apply to heavy or up to high you hair will end up looking greasy.

Dupes?
There are a lot of drugstore hair serums available but I don't think that any do such good things for my hair like Paul Mitchel Super Skinny Serum does.

I didn't mention this above but I want to say that I usually purchase the biggest size and that lasts me a whole year. I got a bottle last year for Christmas and I am still using that bottle and will probably have a month or two left in product. If you wash your hair more or less the product will last differently.

BLOGcember Review: Smashbox Hydrating Primer

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 12! Since I have been doing these blog posts I have been exploring my collection as well and looking for products I haven't used lately or something that is almost finished. Trust me I am so close to filling up my empties bag again--which means another video! I have a handful of primers or primer samples to use and this is one that I totally love! Don't let the hydrating word scare you oily ladies this primer is oil-free which is perfect for us!

Where can I purchase this primer?
As usual Sephora, Ulta or online at Smashbox's website.

How much is this primer?
The full-size which is 1 fl oz retails for $42.00 and trail size is $15 for 0.5 fl oz. So if you do the math you are better off buying two smaller ones for $30 than spending $42 on the full-size.

Scent?
There is not a scent that I can tell.

Texture?
This doesn't feel as silicone like as some of the other Smashbox primers. This actually feels more like a gel and reminds me of Clinque Dramatically Different Gel.

How do you apply this?
I like to apply my primer 2-5 minutes after I moisturize my skin so my moisturizer can soak in. I then wait another 2-5 minutes before applying my foundation to let everything settle. I know some primers can "pill" up on the skin and I have not had this happen ever.

Lasting Power?
I find that I can apply this under foundation in the morning and go at least 12 hours without any serious break down in my foundation. I am oily though so I do regularly touch up with powder half through the day.

Dupes?
I have tried several primers from the drugstore but I don't think there are any that compare in texture and lasting power Smashbox Hydrating Primer has.

I am currently almost finished with a sample size and I am totally getting myself a new one ASAP. I have totally fallen in love with this primer. Do you have any favorite primers? Let me know!

BLOGcember Review: Bath & Body Works Candles

Hey loves! BLOGcember Day 12! Today I was at the mall and I saw that Bath and Body Works had their candles on sale for only $8 which is totally an amazing deal if you ask me. So I figured since I purchased some candles I would do a small review for you guys!

Availabe at
Bath & Body Works in-store or online.

Price?
Usually retail for 22.50 a piece but BBW always has deals like 2 for $22 or flash sales like this one for $8 a piece. Don't forget to use for take $10 off $30 purchase too!

Scents?
The scents are seasonal and are usually only around for a few months so get your favorites before they are gone. Currently I am loving Marshmallow Fireside and Sparkling Icicles for the winter.

Long-Lasting?
I like to burn the candles when I am hanging out around my home. You can literally have the candle lit for an hour and your entire area smells amazing. These are the best scented candles in the world.

Dupes?
Wal-Mart makes some decentl candles for around $6 but I would suggest just spending a little extra for better quality.

The BBW Semi-Annual sale is upcoming on December 26th so watch for that sale and pick yourself up some candles. Not only for yourself but as gifts as well.

BLOGcember Review: Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Toner

Hey Loves! BLOGcemember Day 11!! So as finals week is happening for me right now I was thinking about how stressed some people can get around this time. So today I am reviewing a product Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Toner--now this isn't going to help with your finals stress this can help calm down your skin. I have been using this toner for around 8 months and do not see this leaving my skincare routine anytime soon.

Where can I purchase this toner?
I purchase mine at Wal-Mart but should be available at most drugstores.

How much is this product?
Usually retails between $7-$9 depending on where you purchase.

What does this product do?
This toner claims to help prevent acne before it starts, eliminate shine, and perfect/smooth skin.

How do you apply the toner?
I use this toner twice a day once in the morning and once at night both after washing my face completely. I use a cotton round with a quarter size amount of product and rub over my entire face and neck. I apply this before my moisturizer.

Does this product really work?
I do believe this product has helped to calm down my breakouts and has helped keep little bumps at bay. I also think my oily skin has become a little less oily not can extreme amount.

Who should use this?
I recommend everyone use a toner to help keep their skin in check and also makes sure all residue is removed from the skin. I don't think this toner to be overly drying so I think all skin types could you this toner on their face.

I have only tried this toner and 2 other higher end toners by Clinque and ProActiv and I would recommend this Neutrogena toner over both of those. This is gentle and doesn't cause any extra tightening or drying to the skin. If you are in need or want to try out a toner I would totally suggest this product!

BLOGcember Review: the Balm Cabana Boy Blush

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 10! Today I am going to be reviewing the Balm's Cabana Boy blush-- this blush is often featured on Hautelook at a discounted price which is exactly where I purchased mine from.

Where can you purchase this blush?
I purchased mine off Hautelook but The Balm is available online at thebalm.com

How much is this blush?
Retails on Hautelook for $12 and on the Balm's website for $21.

How is the pigmentation?
This blush is so pigmented you barely need to apply any product onto the brush--remember to use a light hand you can always add more if desired!

Lasting Power?
I usually can wear this blush for 12 solid hours before I need to touch up. This blush is also advertised for an eye shadow as well but I have never used for that purpose before.

Color?
I would describe the color as a rich reddish plum with a soft shimmer. You can get away with using this blush with a number of different looks depending on the concentration of color applied.

Drugstore Dupes?
I do think e.l.f. does offer a variety of shades in their studio line that have amazing pigmentation and lasting powder for $3 but I don't think any of the colors are exactly the same. Mellow Mauve would probably be the closest color match and shimmer.

This is the only blush I have from the Balm but I am looking into purchasing more because the pigmentation and lasting power is amazing so investing in this product seems reasonable. Plus if you get them from Hautelook you can save plenty of money--use my link below to join Hautelook.

BLOGcember Review: Caress Evenly Gorgeous Body Wash

Hey Loves! BLOGcember Day 9 and we are almost half way! Today I am going to be reviewing one of my favorite body washes for the winter months. Not only is the scent off the wall but the formula is amazing as well.

Where can I purchase this body wash?
Available at most drugstore (Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreens)

How much does this product cost?
Usually retails for around $4/.

Are there other scents available?
I know that caress makes a number of scents in their body washes but my favorite is this one in Burnt Brown Sugar & Karite Butter. Reminds me of a rich bakery type scent with a warm element.

Formula?
This body wash happens to contain little exfoliating pieces that are great for getting rid of dead skin cells or dry patches. The body wash is also very creamy and I find does not dry my skin out at all.  I like to use this in conjunction with my luffa so I can get maximum washing benefits.

Long-lasting?
I think the fragrance does linger a little bit after the shower but obviously isn't over powering at all. Just leaves a light scent for 1-2 hours after.

I have mentioned this body wash several times in my empties videos previously. I usually go through a bottle every 1.5-2  months. If you happen to need a new body wash just take a little sniff next time you are at the store and I promise you will fall in love!
