My Plastic Surgery Experience

Hey Loves! I have thought about making this video for some time now and just have not had the confidence to do it. I was teased growing up for having a "big" nose and I realize now that I never really had a "big" nose but people knew it would get to me if they said I did.

I  have created a video on my YouTube Channel (wiscobeauty8913) which explains the whole process leading up the surgery, the surgery, and post operation. I also explain what I exactly I had done so please watch that video for all of the information.

I am using this blog post to just show pictures of before and after the surgery. You will see that my nose actually isn't that different by appearance which I am totally glad about. I had the option of changing some features and I decided not too because this is my nose and I shouldn't change how it looks just because I have always felt uncomfortable with it. I have grown to love my nose. Check out the pictures below:

Before Surgery

Day Of Surgery-Post Operation
Muscle Graft
Side Note- Since I had the muscle graft done I could not shower/wash my hair for at least 48 hours. My mom helped me shampoo my hair on day three with baby shampoo but my hair was super greasy from the ointment/products they used during surgery. I couldn't submerse my hair in water for a whole week! It was so tough! I also couldn't wash my face so I used a lot of makeup wipes just to cleanse my face each day.
Day 3 After Surgery

Day 6 After Surgery

One week Post Operation

3 Months Post Operation

4 Months Post Operation
I am so happy that I had this procedure done and I would recommend to anyone who has problems breathing/snoring. I have improved so much and I can now run/exercise and feel like I can breathe so much better. If you have any other questions that I didn't answer please leave them below.

I had my surgery done at:

Marshfield Clinic
1000 N Oak Avenue
Marshfield, WI 54449
Nathan Schreiber, MD

Review: Sally Hansen Gel Manicure Polish

Hey Loves! I have been kind of neglecting my blog lately which is totally sad! I have been posting like two videos a week on my YouTube Channel (wiscobeauty8913). If you saw my recent drugstore haul then you saw I picked up the Sally Hansen Gel Manicure Polish in Wine Stock and the clear top coat that goes with.

This nail polish claims to be just as good as a gel manicure you get at the salon with tons of shine and last up to 14 days without chipping. Lets be honest no chipping for 14 days that is just crazy. If you have never had a gel manicure at the salon the polish does usually last 14 days, has amazing shine but is horrible to take off. I usually end up peeling off layers of my nails which is a shame because the gel makes my nails so hard after 2 weeks.

I had been hearing a lot of good things about this polish from Judy from itsjudytime on YouTube. She is totally obsessed with these polishes and probably owns almost every color they have. She is a super Momma and her nails always look fabulous. So I broke down and picked these up from Target. The polishes are a little more expensive around -$7.99 a piece. You need to pick up the top coat as well to keep the polish looking flawless for days If you get a gel manicure at the salon it usually costs around $25-$30 so getting these polishes is easily half the price and obviously you can use for more than one at home manicure.  What is super amazing about these polishes is that you do not need to use a light to set the polish. I applied three coats of polish and a thick coat of the clear coat.

I was originally going to wear this polish for the full 14 days but I ended up taking the polish off on day 12 not because it looked horrible but I just wanted to re paint them when I had time too. Check out the pictures for how the polish wore for 12 days.

Day 1
Day 3
Day 5
Day 9
Day 12
As you can see the majority of the polish stayed on throughout the 12 days. I did have a little wax spill when I was trying to wax on legs and ended up getting wax near my cuticles and picked off some of the polish on accident. So the majority of the wear on my pointer finger and middle finger were from the wax mishap. Otherwise I was really surprised that the polish stayed on for 12 days without any major chipping. I did make sure that I coated the tips of my nails with the top coat to see if it would help keep the polish on longer near the tip and it totally did.
I am totally excited to find some other colors for summer! This color Wine Stock is totally perfect for fall and winter! I would probably still rock this color on my toes in the summer too because I just love reddish colors on my toes the best. Let me know what your favorite polishes are and if you have tried these polishes out before?

First Impression: Rimmel Provocalips

Hey Loves! I have been loving to try out new products lately. At my most recent shopping trip to Walgreens I saw these new long wear lip products from Rimmel. I picked up the color 120 Pucker Up and wanted to do a first impression blog post for you guys!

This products claims to be kiss proof, transfer proof, food proof with high impact color. Also supposed to not feel tight or drying on the lips and leave the lips feeling moisturized all day. Suggested to be removed with an oil-based make-up remover. Lets see how this lip color stood up throughout the day...

First applied in the light at 8 am

9 am in indoor lighting

10 am coffee break

2 pm indoor lighting

I took pictures throughout the day so you can see the wear of the product. I was very shocked when I applied the color at how shimmery the color was because the packaging was a very light pale matte pink and when I applied the color was super shimmery. I do not have a problem with shine but this was over the top shimmer.

As I wore the product throughout the day I did notice a lot of dryness and tightness when the clear gloss top coat started to wear off. I did reapply the top coat several times during the day after eating and drinking. As you can see the product did transfer onto my coffee mug after a few sips. I also felt like pieces started to flake off and become almost able to peel off.

By the time I was finished with work I just wanted to take the lip product off because my lips felt almost crusty and I was so over the shimmer. I tried to use a make-up remover wipe to remove the product but I felt like I was rubbing so hard on my lips. I ended up using my toothbrush to get rest of the product off. I did not try an oil-based make up remover as recommended.

I have however heard that the darker shades are not so shimmery and are better feeling on the lips. I am not sure if I am going to try those out or not. Maybe I am just not a long wear lipstick gal--something about always having to apply that clear balm that doesn't appeal to me. Do you have a favorite long wear lip product? Let me know!
